I grew up on a family farm in Kentucky. My dad was a farmer and my mom dedicated over 30 years to civil service at Ft Knox. I earned a degree in Chemistry from Centre College. After my career in the Environmental and Pharmaceutical industries, I became a stay at home parent and avid volunteer. Our community runs on volunteers so I quickly got involved in many organizations including building a town playground, Friends of the Library of Windham, PTA, Election Ballot Clerk, Windham Athletic Boosters, and Friends of Moeckel Pond. Volunteering led to running for elected office where I have served our town in two terms on the Nesmith Library Board of Trustees (serving as chairperson) and the Zoning Board of Adjustment (current chairperson). These roles have given me a deep understanding of our town's needs, the importance of preserving the special qualities of our community, and the challenges we face. Through these experiences, I’ve gained a critical perspective on how local municipalities are directly impacted by legislation passed in Concord. After spending countless hours in local board meetings, I've learned what matters to residents, and I'm committed to amplifying those voices. I’ve also realized that residents have a great deal of valuable input when given a forum. I’ve learned to listen more than I talk, and how to cut through the noise to be able to focus on the core of an issue.
  • Championing our Public Schools I believe that public education is one of the cornerstones of democracy. I am committed to funding public schools to provide every child with a quality education. Ensuring appropriately staffed Special Education programs are in place is crucial for equity in our schools. I will work tirelessly to advocate for state-funded resources and support that all students deserve in order to thrive in a free appropriate public education setting. Mental health services are a vital component of education, and I will push for accessible and comprehensive support for all students. Additionally, I understand the importance of a balanced curriculum that includes sports, art and music classes, and v
  • Protecting our Natural Resources I am deeply committed to safeguarding our town's natural resources for the benefit future generations. Protecting our natural resources is essential to preserving the small-town charm and unique advantages of living in New Hampshire. Our ponds, lakes, trails, and conservation areas are vital parts of our communities. I will champion stronger protections for the health and safety of our lakes and ponds, fight to restore well-radius safeguards for our drinking water, and support legislation to regulate PFAS-containing products. Furthermore, I will oppose any plans to place landfills near water bodies, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all.
  • Improving Communication with Constituents I am committed to improving communication between our representatives and the community. I will actively seek input from stakeholders to ensure all voices are heard and considered. To maintain transparency, I will publish my votes in the our local newspapers, along with the reasoning behind decisions. Additionally, I will hold listening sessions to engage directly with constituents, addressing their concerns and ideas.

My dad has been my inspiration through life. He was injured in a farm accident and was in and out of hospitals for two years. He worked very hard to get back to farming and living the life he loved.
I believe one of the most important characteristics of an election official is to realize that the position is bigger than their personal beliefs and that they have a duty to serve their constituents.
The two qualities that would make me a successful office holder and my history of serving in town government and the empathy I've gained from this service. I’ve gained a critical perspective on how local municipalities are directly impacted by legislation passed in Concord. I believe that this empathy and understanding are among the strongest qualities I’ll bring to the position of State Rep.
I believe the core responsibility is to engage with constituents and stakeholders, listen to all sides, and find a compromise that works best for the community.
That I treated my office, constituents, and fellow officials with respect while accomplishing goals that helped our community in a meaningful way.
I grew up on a farm. As the oldest child, my first job was following my dad around and doing whatever needed to be done. Some of my first farm jobs, starting around 2nd grade, were to feed bottle calves and dig up thistles from the grazing fields. As I got older, fixing fence, baling hay, cutting/stripping tobacco, plowing fields - are just a few of the jobs I had.
'Start your day with a song' as a substitute teacher in our local school, this song gets stuck in my head a lot of mornings
I have a history in Windham of working with a large, diverse group to find solutions that best serve our town.
Why is a dog like a cellphone? They both have collar ID.
