The Michigan National Popular Vote Interstate Compact Initiative was not on the ballot in Michigan as an indirect initiated state statute on November 5, 2024.
The ballot initiative was designed to join Michigan in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC).[1] The NPVIC is an interstate compact to award member states' presidential electors to the candidate that receives the most votes nationwide.

Stages of this initiative
The ballot initiative was filed with the Department of State on September 29, 2021.[1] On October 26, the Board of State Canvassers approved the petition for the ballot initiative, allowing a signature drive to begin.[2]
On December 16, 2021, Saul Anuzis announced that the campaign's goal was to place the initiative on the 2024, rather than 2022, ballot.[3]
