The Midland Independent School District put a $750,000 bond proposal on the ballot in 1958. The district sought funding for the Pease Communications and Technology Academy and the Bunche Elementary School. The bond passed with 86.83 percent of voters approving the measure. This was the district's 11th bond election.[1]
