Voters in the Midland Independent School District, which is located in Midland County in western Texas approved a $3 million bond proposal in 1980. The district placed the measure on the ballot to seek funding for major repairs and renovations. The bond was approved with 59.63 percent of voters approving the measure. This was the district's 21st bond election.[1]
