Voters in the Midland Independent School District, which is located in Midland County in western Texas approved a total of $6.6 million in bond proposals in 1981. The district placed the measure on the ballot to seek funding for the Parker and DeZavala elementary schools and the Midland and Lee high schools. The ballot question approved one bond of $5.6 million and another of $1 million. The bonds were approved with 56.93 percent of voters in favor the measure. This was the district's 22nd bond election.[1]
