Voters in the Midland Independent School District, which is located in Midland County in western Texas approved a $24.495 million bond proposal in 1990. The district placed the measure on the ballot to seek funding for the Abell Junior High and the Greathouse Elementary School. The bond was approved with 67.72 percent of voters in favor the measure. This was the district's 25th bond election.[1]
