Voters in the Midland Independent School District, which is located in Midland County in western Texas approved $24.22 million in bonds in 1991. The district placed two measures on the ballot. The first sought $13.375 million for the Greathouse Elementary School, Coleman High School and other projects. The second sought $10.84 million for the Abell Junior High. The former question was approved with 64.98 percent of voters in favor the measure while the latter received 64.51 percent approval. These measures were the district's 26th and 27th bond elections.[1]
