Miesha Darrough
Miesha Darrough is a judge of the Miami-Dade County Court in Florida. She assumed office on December 16, 2019. Her current term ends on January 2, 2029.
Darrough won re-election for judge of the Miami-Dade County Court in Florida outright in the general election on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Darrough was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to the court as a special counsel to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. Darrough was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Laura Cruz, who was elevated to the Florida 11th Circuit Court.[1]
Biography
Darrough's professional experience includes working as the Assistant U.S. Attorney and an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County. She obtained a B.A. and a J.D. from Howard University.[1]
