Miesha Strickland was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 10 of the Ohio House of Representatives.

After attending classes at Cuyahoga Community College, Strickland earned her B.A. with honors in urban studies from Cleveland State University in 2014. She is now pursuing an M.P.A., expected 2015.[1]

Professionally, Strickland has interned with Marcia L. Fudge of the United States House of Representatives, Ohio 11th Congressional District and with the City of Cleveland's Community Relations Board. She has also served as the chief financial officer of Ambassador of East Cleveland Community Development Center and the chief executive officer of Tahgi's Imports Incorporated.[1]

Strickland has also been affiliated with the following organizations:[1]

Elections for the Ohio House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Incumbent Bill Patmon defeated Eugene Miller in the Democratic primary. Edward Hudson-Bey (I) withdrew from the race before the primary. Robert M. Kilo, Danielle Shepherd and Miesha Strickland ran as Independent candidates. Patmon defeated Kilo, Shepherd and Strickland in the general election.[3]
