Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Miesha Weaver is a native of Houston, Texas. She is a single mother of twin daughters and a son whom she has worked hard to give them a childhood better than she had growing up. Miesha has a tenured career in the oil and gas industry, she's a small business owner, sports mom, a published author, and community activist. She is often referred to as the voice of the unheard, she ran for her first public office November 2020 against incumbent Scott Moore, she shocked many as she pulled in over 41,000 votes in a ultra conservative county. She lost by a 12 percent margin.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Children's rights, women rights, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to those who were dealt bad hands and won with them, I love to hear stories of those who made the choice to rise above regardless of what obstacles they've faced.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I'd like to leave a mark to empowers women and those who were counted out in life that they can do anything they put their minds to, If she can do it, then so can I.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My very first job was a cashier as my local Kroger's, I held this job throughout my highschool years.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Through the Eyes of a Single Mother- because I wrote it, it's my story.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

"He saw the best in me"

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

My greatest struggle yet biggest blessing has been raising kids as a single mother.

What is the primary job of a school board member in your view?

Hold the superintendent accountable and ensure the job is being done.

Listen to the concerns of the community.
Ensure laws are being followed.

Tax plans, budgets, and fiscal responsibility.
