I have spent my legal career in dedicated service to the City of New York, the Bronx and the Dominican communities from which I came. I am running for office because in my last 10 years as a lawyer I have seen people in their most difficult moments and have witnessed how easy it is to be overlooked when there is a lack of learned empathy- one that you only possess when you have the lived experience of coming from the communities that you serve.
  • I have been the first many times and as a State Senator I will ensure that I am not the last and fight for our government to be representative of our community.
  • You cannot bring real change alone. We need elected officials who know how to bring people together and build coalitions so that we can bring real results to those we serve.
  • As an immigrant and community attorney I have been an advocate for others my entire life and now I want to fight in Albany for all of us.
As the first in my family to go to college I care deeply about investing in education and ensuring that our schools have all the resources they need to prepare our children so that we ensure a strong graduation to employment/secondary education pipeline.

Additionally, as the daughter of a small business owner I am dedicated to helping our neighborhood’s small business owners recover from the pandemic and ensure that their needs are met as they are a critical source of jobs that keep New Yorkers working.
