- Unions are the backbone of our district’s economy. Mike has fought for our Union brother and sisters at the Statehouse.
- Teachers deserve to be compensated for educating our children. Mike Andrade has fought every day to get our teachers a raise in the Statehouse.
- Women’s Healthcare is under attack in our State. Mike believes women should have the right to have the freedom to make their own decisions.
Mike understands our Teachers need a raise.Mike has authored H.B. 1343 Minimum Teacher Salary. H.B 1343 would provide a full-time teacher employed by a school corporation $50,000 minimum salary. Additionally, the bill would provide teachers a $1,000 non-performance-based bonus for teaching during the 2020-2021 school year. Mike is proud to have voted for HB 1001, the State Budget, which provided teachers with a minimum $40,000 salary. The pay increase was only possible due to the federal funding of the American Rescue plan.
Mike believes women’s choice should not be decided by the government but rather by her doctor, family, faith, and most importantly herself.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
