Mike Boland
Mike Boland (b. August 20, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa) was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 37 of the Indiana House of Representatives.
Boland was a Democratic candidate for Indiana Treasurer in the 2014 elections.[1] Mike Boland lost the general election on November 4, 2014.[2]
Boland sought election in 2012 as a Democratic candidate for District 36 of the Illinois State Senate. He lost in the primary on March 20, 2012.
Boland is a former Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 71st District from 1995 to 2011.
Boland is an educator.[3]

2014
Boland ran for Indiana Treasurer in 2014. He won the Democratic nomination at the party's statewide primary convention on May 31, 2014, and faced Republican Kelly Mitchell and Mike Jasper in the general election.[1] The general election took place on November 4, 2014. If elected, he planned to donate his entire salary of $50,000 per year to scholarships and charities in Indiana.[8]

Boland did not run for re-election to the House in 2010 as he decided to run for Lieutenant Governor on the Democrat ticket[12]. He lost in the statewide primary on February 2, 2010[13][14].
