The Kansas Secretary of State is responsible for many things however the most important role is as the Chief Election Official. The administration of free, fair and transparent elections is the foundation of our Republic and anything less than free, fair and transparent elections is corrosive.

Transparency. Transparency. Transparency.

In transparency, integrity is not only on display but becomes the example of true leadership in action - and not just words.
When transparency and sunshine are lacking in those shadowy places, doubt creeps in and it is there the opportunity of the American Dream is compromised.

This must not be allowed to continue - and as your Kansas Secretary of State I will work tirelessly to provide transparency at every opportunity and in every corner of the Secretary of State’s Office.
I am a natural leader and consensus team builder. I understand that each person in the organization has a life outside of work and I go out of my way to know each person by taking the time to simply talking to them.

I too know how to work with other elected’s to achieve common goals and strategic objectives.
I set clear goals and objectives and I expect others to hold me accountable for meeting my goals and objectives as I too hold them accountable.
One voter equals one vote. Not More. Not Less. Not Ever.

I want my legacy to be this simple; Mike Brown restored faith and confidence in Kansas’ elections.
My first memory of a historical event was the 1976 American Bi-Centennial. We lived in Leavenworth and went to the parade downtown where everything was red, white and blue… the clothes, cars, motorcycles, bunting on the buildings and of course the extra tall Uncle Sam hats. In the parade was Buffalo Bill Cody with a herd of Buffalo strolling along the parade route. It was amazing. The animals were huge, majestic, and the ground shook as they went by the street curb where I was standing. That moment is forever vividly etched in my memory. It was my first memorable taste of True Americana, and I loved it.
Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon”
I struggle seeing others doubt the outcome of elections.

Americans do, and should, expect their elections to be free, fair and fully transparent.

Mike Brown
I am lifelong business owner and I understand the process of, and need for, auditing. It is how a stated outcome is proven to those outside of the process. Through an audit, surety is brought forward or flaws are revealed which then requires greater enforcement of existing laws or more strict laws must be passed by the legislature and signed by the governor.

I have lifelong experience managing thousands of people and complex processes in the construction industry.
I have the skill sets and the experience to get the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office trued up and back to the reasonable expectation and business of running free, fair and transparent elections in the Great State of Kansas
