Michael Buckingham
Michael Buckingham was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 33 of the South Dakota House of Representatives. He previously served in the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2008.
Biography
Buckingham earned a B.A. in political science from the University of South Dakota and an MBA with emphasis in marketing from National American University. He previously served on the Rapid City School board.[1]

Elections for the South Dakota House of Representatives took place in 2016. The primary election was held on June 7, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was March 29, 2016. Incumbents Scott W. Craig (R) and Jacqueline Sly (R) did not seek re-election.

Buckingham ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota State Senate District 33. He was defeated by District 33 Rep. Phil Jensen in the Republican primary on June 5.
