Biography
Mike Crawford was born in New Mexico. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1987 to 1992 as a crew chief on KC-135s. In 1991, Crawford completed the non-commissioned officer preparatory course and was promoted to sergeant. He attended the New Mexico State Police Academy and the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy. Crawford's career experience includes working as a police officer, motorcycle officer, police instructor, and training officer with the Glendale Police Department in Arizona. He also worked as a patrol deputy, special agency in the Drug Enforcement Administration, and extradition fugitive deputy in the San Juan County Sheriff's Office.[1][2]

|Mike was born and raised in New Mexico. He served as a volunteer firefighter while in high school. Mike enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a Crew Chief on KC-135s. In 1991, he completed the Non-Commissioned Officer Preparatory Course and was promoted to Sergeant. On July 10, 1991, it was a dark and stormy night, Mike was on the flight line working on his aircraft when he was struck by lightning. This is the day that God changed Mike's path and focused him on serving in law enforcement.
Mike joined the San Juan County Sheriff's Office. He graduated from the New Mexico State Police Academy. He honorably served as a Sheriff's Deputy:
- Patrol Deputy - Special Agent in the Drug Enforcement Administration, Region II Narcotics Taskforce - Extradition Fugitive Deputy
In 1997, Mike joined the Glendale Police Department and served: - Police Officer in the Patrol, Special Operations and Vehicular Crimes - Motorcycle Officer in the Traffic Division - Police Instructor - Field Training Officer
- Motor I- Stop the frivolous lawsuits that send tax dollars to the ACLU and away from public safety.
- Recruit 20% more Sheriff Deputies and 500 more Detention Officers. We need more Deputies on our streets and fewer bureaucrats in buildings. Bring back the MSCO Volunteer posse to focus on our youth mentor program, search and rescue, animal rescue and neighbor safety.
- Build community trust by having your Sheriff Deputies truly part of your community.
