I am a career prosecutor with significant trial experience. My life has been profoundly shaped by my family: a Marine Corps veteran father who instilled discipline and duty, a book-loving librarian mother who nurtured my love for learning, and my supportive wife of 19 years. Growing up, I learned the importance of hard work and community service.

My career has taken me around the world, including to Pakistan and the Philippines, where I worked with the Department of Justice to establish prosecution offices and train prosecutors, many of whom were women. These trainings emphasized the rule of law and the transformative impact a just and equitable justice system can have on communities. We tackled cases involving terrorism, terrorist financing, cybercrimes, gender-based violence, and human trafficking, with U.S.-related cases being the highest priority.

Beyond my professional life, I am deeply committed to community service. I have coached Special Olympics, mentored students as a High School Mock Trial coach, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and served on the boards of the Tucson Museum of Art and Tucson Clean and Beautiful. The values my family instilled in me drive my commitment to help others and improve my community. I strive to live by these ideals, contributing positively to society and working towards a more just and equitable world for all.
  • I am a career prosecutor dedicated to upholding the rule of law, building better communities, giving victims their voices back, and treating the accused with justice, timeliness, and compassion.
  • I believe diversion and wraparound services are essential for helping non-violent, non-dangerous defendants lead productive lives. The county attorney should lead a coalition of organizations, including law enforcement and NGOs, to create integrated pathways that help our fellow citizens return to living fruitful and fulfilling lives.
  • The county attorney should address the "crime tax" on businesses and residents by holding those who rob, burglarize, steal, and damage property accountable. People work hard to provide the best opportunities for their families, so it's crucial that the county attorney helps by ensuring those who cause harm are held responsible.
The areas that concern me the most as the county attorney are: (1) domestic violence; (2) gun violence; (3) elder fraud; (4) violent and dangerous offenders being held accountable; and (5) the Fentanyl epidemic and all of its ramifications on society and lives.

I believe the most important characteristics and principles for an elected official are: honesty,

integrity, commitment and dedication to public service, and fidelity to the oath to support the

Constitution of the United States.
The core responsibilities of the elected Pima County Attorney are: to protect public safety and

enhance prosperity by faithfully and impartially enforcing the criminal laws of the State of
Arizona in Pima County by holding accountable those who are proven beyond a reasonable
doubt to have committed crimes; to provide services to victims of crime; and to provide ethical,

effective, and efficient civil legal advice and representation to Pima County government.
I would like to leave a legacy of being an honest public servant who did his job well and left my
community better off, safer, and more prosperous.

I believe in financial transparency; I support Arizona’s Public Records Law, its Open Meeting

Law, and its campaign disclosure requirements. I support government accountability; as a
prosecutor, I will hold government actors accountable without fear or favor, and as a civil legal
advisor to county government I will remind county leaders of the laws to which they are

accountable.
