I'm a life long South Carolina resident with a deep commitment to my community. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, family values are at the core of my beliefs. My faith as a Christian and conservative principles guide all of my decisions and actions.

Alongside my wife Terry, we've raised six children and are blessed with six grandchildren. Together, we're active members of the 2nd Chance Fellowship Church where our greatest source of strength and community are found.

Serving 36 years in the Army, I understand the importance of service and giving back to our country. This experience has instilled in me a strong sense of duty and dedication to the well-being of my fellow citizens.

Academically, I've earned a bachelor's degree in business and master's degrees in MBA, Leadership, and Criminal Justice. This diverse skill set is complemented by my roles as a licensed realtor, insurance agent, and roof contractor. As a seasoned entrepreneur from a young age, I've acquired extensive knowledge of running successful businesses.

My multifaceted background and unwavering commitment to serving others make me a strong candidate for SC Senate Seat 35. Through my military experience, academic accomplishments, and entrepreneurial acumen, I'm uniquely positioned to make a positive impact on the issues that matter most to the people of South Carolina.
  • I want to prioritize infrastructure improvements that enhance road safety, reduce traffic congestion, and support economic development, ensuring that South Carolina communities are well-connected and businesses thrive.
  • I also want to expand school choice, which gives parents the power to choose the best educational options for their children and ensure quality education for every student.
  • Lastly, I want to advocate for our men and women in uniform. Our law enforcement needs to have the tools, resources, and funding to keep our families and communities safe, and if elected, that’s a promise I’ll always keep my word on.
Our rural communities need adequate funding to advance and prosper their economy. Access to high-speed internet is essential and will open doors for educational resources, healthcare, and e-commerce, empowering residents and businesses to thrive in the digital age. If I’m elected, our rural communities will have a strong voice at the Statehouse and I’ll ensure they’re not overlooked or forgotten.
Working for their constituents and their priorities. Often, you'll find several elected officials that place special interest groups and their interests over the very people that elected them to serve. For me, I vow to work for the people of Senate Seat 35 and place their interests at the top of my list, no matter the pressures from these so called special interest groups that push policies only to better themselves.
I always knew when I had the opportunity to run, once I had retired from the military, I would. As I look at the lives ahead for my 7 beautiful grandchildren, I know the future doesn’t hold the same prosperity as it once did for me when I was young. Their futures deserve the same chance that I was given and if elected as your State Senator, I promise to fulfill that prosperity to my family and yours.
I joined the Army in March of 1988 when I was just 17. I started my military career as a Private and worked my way up to Sergeant First Class but later on, I transitioned to an officer and rose up the ranks to Lieutenant Colonel.
It is critical to have a fair and efficient legal system. I'm committed to implementing reforms that ensure equal access to justice, promote transparency, and restore public trust in our courts. Catch and release of habitual offenders must cease. I support measures like S1046 in its original form to address systemic issues such as judicial bias. Law and order are crucial for a just society.
Endorsement from Alan Wilson, SC's Attorney General

"I first got to know Mike Jones while serving with him for a year in Iraq. On the front lines you learn the real character of a fellow soldier.

I am endorsing Mike Jones because I know we can trust him in the South Carolina Senate. He will fight for everyone in his district, just like he has fought for our country." — Alan Wilson, South Carolina Attorney General
Smaller government and increased individual freedoms are what fuel and strengthen our local economy! Our federal and state governments bureaucracy has become too large and powerful. Elected officials should report to their constituents and not the bureaucracy. I will support legislation that decreases the tax burdens for individuals and families. Our founding fathers built America with the intent of a smaller government to make sure there is no threat to the freedom of ordinary people.
