Biography
Mike Long was born in California. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997. Long earned a bachelor's degree from Boise State University in 2012. His career experience includes working as an industrial mechanic.[1]

|I believe the government is not entitled to a percentage of your property, labor or wealth and has no right to confiscate any of them through taxation or other unjust takings.
I believe that people can be responsible, courteous and just without the threat of violence from the government. Most criminal and deviant behavior is a result of the survival instinct brought out by too many laws, rules and regulations that, by design, restrict people from realizing their full potential.
I believe that the government has no duty or right to demand or forbid anyone from using or not using any drug to treat themselves and their condition as they see fit.
I believe that the only legitimate functions of government are the protection of your individual, natural rights. No law, restricting normal human behavior, that doesn’t infringe in the natural rights of another is valid, just or necessary.
I believe educating and training children is primarily the responsibility of parents. I believe there is a place for public education but it should be strictly limited to academic subjects to assist parents with technical or specialty fields like higher math, sciences, technology and engineering subjects. Social and moral teaching is the dominion of families alone and should be silent in publicly funded schools.- Repeal the sales tax, individual income tax and property tax on owner occupied residential property
- Abolish eminent domain, civil asset forfeiture and qualified immunity
- Abolish occupational licensing and restrictions on small businesses in zoning and planning laws
