Mike Massie
Mike Massie (b. January 8, 1954) was a Democratic member of the Wyoming State Senate. He represented District 9 since 1999. He has served as Senate Minority Whip since 2009. Massie was elected in 1998 and re-elected in 2002 and 2006.
Massie previously served in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1995 to 1998. He was elected to the Wyoming State Senate in 1999. He served as the Senate Minority Caucus Chairman from 2007 to 2008.
Massie earned his B.A. in Secondary Education from the University of Akron in 1979. He then went on to receive his M.A. in history from the University of Wyoming in 1980.
Massie has been Executive Director for Child Development Services of Wyoming. He also has worked as a Historian since 1980, and as Administrator for the University of Wyoming since 1999. Massie had worked as Program Director/Assistant Director for the Wyoming Council for the Humanities from 1990 to 1999 and as Program Director for the University of Wyoming Institute for Disabilities from 1999 to 2003.[1]

Massie did not run for re-election to the Wyoming State Senate District 9. He is running for State Superintendent. Democrats Chris Rothfuss is running unopposed for the open seat in the November 2, 2010, general election.[2]
2006
On November 7, 2006, Mike Massie won re-election to the Wyoming State Senate, District 9. He ran unopposed.[3]
Massie raised $1,825 for his campaign.[4]
