Mike May, Colorado Representative
Mike May is a former Republican member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 44 from 2003 to 2011. He served as minority leader during his last term.
Biography
May's professional experience includes working as a certified public accountant and businessman in hotel development and operations. He served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975.[1]

Issues
May did not provide answers to the Colorado State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test informs voters how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[2]

May co-sponsored legislation introduced in the Colorado House of Representatives on March 24 that would have:
- Required that petition drive management companies who hire paid circulators go through a licensing process.
- Circulators would have been required to go through a government-sponsored training procedure before they would be allowed to collect signatures legally.[3]

2008
On November 4, 2008, May won re-election to the 44th District seat in the Colorado House of Representatives, defeating opponent Shelly Tokerud (D).[4]
May raised $32,775 for his campaign, while Tokerud raised $2,447.[5]
