Mike Odioso has always been called to service. As a husband, father, educator, community leader, and conservative activist, Mike has spent years giving back to our community and fighting for causes he is most passionate about.

Mike graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1981. He went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati in 1985 with a degree in History and the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1988, later completing a Master of Education from Mount St Joseph University in 1999.

Mike is recognized as a leading local high school educator with a deep background in law.

Through his community activism and volunteer work on many conservative causes, Mike has developed key contacts throughout Green Township, Hamilton County, the Ohio State Legislature, Governor’s Office, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, and the Ohio Federal Congressional Delegation. Mike has also served as guardian ad litem in Hamilton County Juvenile/Dependency Courts.

Mike returned to public life after raising his daughter, Audrey Marie Odioso, who was born with developmental disabilities. Mike and his wife Leslie Odioso have broad appreciation for the gifts Audrey received from Hamilton County - Butler County Boards of DD, and the State of Ohio’s Department of DD before she passed on June 5th, 2015.
  • Developmental Disability Services:

Mike has committed himself to improving the lives of those in our community who experience these challenges. As a strong public advocate for the developmentally disabled, Mike is honored to serve on Hamilton County’s Developmental Disability Services Board. Mike continues to develop a deep knowledge of the legislative and regulatory needs of our DDS community.

As a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, Mike will fight to increase visibility for the needs facing this community and advocate for increased services to both the developmentally disabled and their caretakers.
  • Education & Thriving Schools: For 29 years, Mike has been an educator at St. Xavier High School - teaching Government, Economics, Modern World History, World Cultures, U.S. History, and American Civil War. Mike knows that in order to create safe, clean, and prosperous communities, we must start with promoting academic excellence. Mike currently serves as a board member of three public charter schools that serve our most disadvantaged youth in the local area. As a strong advocate for charter schools and school choice, Mike will always prioritize parental oversight in public education and ensure that our children are being taught the values that reflect our community.
  • A Strong & Vibrant West Side The Westside has a vibrant history and culture. For generations, people have made our community their home. The Westside is a place where people raise their family, attend school and church, recreate, and where they work. This is the case for Mike and his wife Leslie, who have called Green Township their home for 34 years. Mike spent the bulk of his young years being raised in a large Green Township family. Leslie was raised in Cheviot and Green Township. But in order to do so, we need to ensure that our neighborhoods are safe. Like many of you, Mike wants our community to have a vibrant economy, where people choose to live and do business.
Developmental disability services, public safety, fiscal oversight and responsibility.

Scorecards

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
