Mike graduated from The Ohio State University with both a college degree and a law degree. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Ohio. Today, Mike works as an attorney at Bricker Graydon LLP, where he helps cities and towns fund important building projects. He also served as Delaware County Treasurer from 2019 to 2021.
  • Orange Township is one of the fastest growing communities in the state of Ohio. Due to this rapid growth and lagging State infrastructure investment, traffic congestion has become a major problem. As Trustee, Mike has partnered with all levels of government to secure the largest road grant in Delaware County history to fund a railroad underpass for Orange Road with multipurpose trail, but there is much more work to be done. Mike continues to seek out community partnerships to cost effectively ensure vital road widening and repaving projects keep pace with resident needs.
  • Orange Township provides excellent services for residents and Mike focuses on maximizing the benefit of every tax dollar received by the Township for the benefit of residents. As an attorney and CPA who helps communities across the State find ways to pay for buildings, bridges, and roads, Mike brings a unique skill set to the Township. As County Treasurer, Mike saved residents of Delaware County over $150,000 with innovating financing of a township facility. Mike has brought new tools to the Township to ensure that every tax dollar is safeguarded and stretched so the Township remains an affordable place to live and work with the high quality services we expect.
  • Orange Township has a vibrant network of State, County, and Township parks. As Treasurer of the Preservation Parks Foundation, Mike continues to preserve Delaware County's Bicentennial Barn that sits along Bale Kenyon Road in beautiful McCammon Creek Park. Mike will continue to collaboratively work to connect the Township's parks so all residents can enjoy access to waterways and green spaces in the Township and across Central Ohio.
Fiscal Responsibility and Community Engagement.
Responsiveness; accountability; transparency; servant leadership
Engagement with the community; Familiarity with local government accounting and Ohio law
I am a husband and father of two toddlers. I appreciate the opportunity to serve Orange Township to make our community the best place to live, work, and raise a family for generations to come.
Financial transparency and government accountability are essential elements of representative democracy. Limited government should secure the rights of the people, which will allow engaged communities to flourish.
