Mike Wetzel is a judge for the 5th Judicial District in Oregon.[1] He was elected on May 15, 2012 to replace retired Judge Ronald D. Thom, effective January, 2013. His current term expires in 2018.[2]

Education

Wetzel attended school at Mt. Hood Community College in Troutdale and earned his bachelor's degree from Willamette University in Salem. He later received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University.[1]

Career

Before his election to the 5th Judicial District Wetzel worked with the law firm Fitzwater Meyer, LLP where he specialized in estate planning and business and tax law.[3][1]

2012 election

Wetzel defeated Judge Bruce Shepley in the race for the Clackamas County Circuit Court, Position 3.[4]
