Mike Whitaker
Mike Whitaker was a judge for the Fayette County General Sessions Court and the Fayette County Juvenile Court in Tennessee. He was elected to the court in 2006. Whitaker ran for re-election in 2014 and was defeated in August.[1][2]

Whitaker ran for re-election to the Fayette County General Sessions Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on August 7, 2014, after receiving 27.31 percent of the vote. He competed against James P. Gallagher and Matthew R. Armour.

Education
Whitaker received his bachelor's degree in political science from Rhodes College and he earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University.[2][4]
Career
Whitaker began his legal career as a partner with the firm Wilder and Whitaker in Somerville, Tennessee. Next, Whitaker served as District Attorney General for the counties of the Twenty-fifth Circuit Court; Fayette County, Hardeman County, Lauderdale County, McNairy County, and Tipton County. He served in this position for eight years and was the youngest District Attorney General in the state. Prior to joining the court in 2006, Whitaker returned to private practice.[2]
