Mike Willson
Mike Willson (Republican Party) was a judge for Place 2 of the Texas Eleventh District Court of Appeals. He assumed office on November 30, 2012. He left office on December 31, 2020.
Willson was first elected on November 6, 2012, but he was sworn into office early on November 30, 2012, via an appointment from Governor Rick Perry (R).[1] He did not seek re-election in 2020.
Education
Willson received his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School.[1]
Career
Prior to his election to the bench, Willson was in private practice at the firms of Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe and Dawson, P.C. and Arter & Hadden, LLP. He has also served on active duty as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.[1]

General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Willson defeated Eric Kalenak in the Republican primary on May 29, winning 66.9% of the vote. He ran unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012 and was elected with 100% of the vote.[4][5][6]
