Today, the American Dream is under assault by the extreme left who want to introduce socialism and political correctness to limit American economic and political freedom. American people are also betrayed by so many politicians who put partisan politics above people's interests, who indulge in offering political handouts, rather than addressing the root causes of our nation's social and economic challenges. As a result, the government spending grew from 7% of GDP a century ago to nearly 40% today. However, major social-economic challenges such as opioid epidemic, inner city poverty remain unsolved. Ordinary citizens suffer from skyrocketing living costs increase such as healthcare costs and college tuition and many other challenges. The American Dream is fleeing away from too many hardworking citizens!
