I am a St. Paul native, a father, community organizer, youth advocate, and nonprofit program director. I attended Highland Park High school and studied Psychology and chemical dependency counseling at Minneapolis community college. I opened my first 8218 Truce Center on Lexington and Selby ave in St. Paul. I was frustrated with the level of crime in our city coupled with the lack of resources for our youth and decided a change must be made.
  • Public Safety – For over two years, Saint Paul has been experiencing a crime epidemic. Homicides, shots fired, and violent crime is at an all-time high. Every citizen in Saint Paul should have a chance to feel safe. As State Representative, I will support the Saint Paul Police Department and the reforms necessary to improve the justice system.
  • Youth – Sadly, more and more youth are becoming increasingly involved in violent crime in Saint Paul. Every child in Saint Paul should have a chance to succeed in life. As State Representative, I will leverage community partnerships to empower all youth in our community to make positive life choices and live up to their full potential.
  • Economic Development – A growing tax base and job market is vital for a strong community, keeping taxes low, and providing high quality city services. Saint Paul should have a chance to be a regional leader in economic growth and job creation. As State Representative, I will take a business-friendly approach to growing our tax base and developing the riverfront consistent with our community values.
Community – Saint Paul’s sense of community is being tested by economic and public safety stress. City government must work for the people and respond to community needs, which include affordable housing, homelessness, road maintenance, infrastructure, mental health, and other issues. Every citizen in Saint Paul should have a chance to feel like city government works for them. I will provide leadership from the top on the issues and be visible, accessible, and listen
