Milford Township Skate Park Levy Proposal (November 2012)

A Milford Township State Park Levy proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Oakland County, which is in Michigan, where it was defeated.
If approved, this proposal would have authorized the levy of an up to .25 mills (25 cents per $1,000 assessed valuation) for four years and, after, a .025 mills (2.5 cents per $1,000 assessed valuation) for an additional sixteen years in order to pay for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a community skate park. $190,521 is the estimated first year revenue from this levy.[1]

| “ | Shall a maximum of 0.25 mills (Twenty Five cents per $1,000 of taxable value) for the first four (4) years, 2012 through 2015 inclusive, and reduced to 0.025 mills (Two and One-Half cents per $1,000 of taxable value) for an additional sixteen (16) years, 2016 through 2031 inclusive, be levied on all real and personal property in the entire Charter Township of Milford (including the Village of Milford) for the purpose of the construction, operation, replacement and maintenance of a community skate park, which 0.25 mills will raise an estimated $190,521.00 in the first year the millage is levied?[1][2] | ” |
