MILLAGE RENEWAL Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes within Millington Township of .5 mills ($.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to .4337 mills by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at up to .4337 mills ($.4337 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) and levied for a period of 8 years, 2010 through 2017, inclusive, for fire department operations including, but not limited to, first responder services, fire equipment purchase and housing, raising an estimated $54,000.00 in the first year the millage is levied?[3] |
