Minddie is the co-founder of Bamboo Bridges, a nonprofit focused on anti-trafficking and domestic violence prevention. She serves as a Director on the board of the Injured Police Officers Fund and on the board of STOP DUI, and has previously served on the Nevada Funeral Board, the Nevada Commission on Aging and Disabilities, and with multiple community safety and AAPI advocacy organizations. Minddie also served as Judicial Executive Assistant to District Court Judge William B. Kephart.
After a lifetime of advocacy for our community, Minddie is now seeking to bring her experience to the Clark County Commission in District F where she’ll prioritize the fight to lower costs and make housing more affordable, create good paying jobs, and improve local roads and infrastructure.- Minddie is committed to lowering the cost of living in Clark County.
Even though they’re doing everything right, folks in District F are struggling to make ends meet. Gas, groceries, rent, and real estate feel unattainable for so many - that needs to change.
Minddie’s top priority will be to lower the cost of living in our community. This means working to responsibly develop housing that working class people can actually afford, fighting for stronger tenant protections for those who rent, and connecting small businesses in our community with grant opportunities to keep costs low. - In times like these, a good job is fundamental to providing for your family. On the County Commission, Minddie will invest in opportunities to diversify District F's economy and create jobs that not only pay well, and put food on the table, but give families the breathing room to save for their futures and thrive - not just survive. She supports the creation and expansion of skills based training programs that connect people in search of employment with the tools they need to find it. She'll advocate for small business, working to create opportunities to cut red tape and simplify the process of starting a business. Minddie will always stand with organized labor in their fight to build power for Nevada’s working class.
- Minddie will fight for safer streets in District F. This means continued investment in our community’s infrastructure, as well as fostering a relationship of trust between residents, and LVMPD. Things like stoplights, speed limits, and sidewalks play a huge role in keeping our families safe in Clark County. Minddie will invest in maintaining and improving the often overlooked infrastructure that plays such an large role in our safety, and respond quickly to resident feedback on the topic. The widow of an LVMPD Lieutenant, Minddie serves on the board of the Injured Police Officers Fund where she works to reduce the burden of police officers and their families in the event of an injury or death in the line of duty.
Minddie is a leader in and staunch advocate for Southern Nevada's AAPI community, a voice for the families of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty, and a fighter for Nevada's senior citizens.
