A Minerva Local School District Tax question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Stark County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.

This question authorized Minerva Local School District to renew a property tax levy of $1,110,000 per year which would result in the approximate rate of 5.1 mills ($5.1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for ten years in order to fund the emergency requirements of the school district.[1]

Text of measure

Language on the ballot:

Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Minerva Local School District for the purpose of EMERGENCY REQUIREMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT in the sum of $1,110,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average five and one-tenth (5.1) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to fifty-one cents ($0.51) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of ten (10) years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.[1][2]
