The Minnesota Dedicate Sales Tax on Vehicle Parts to Road and Bridge Funding Amendment was not on the ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 6, 2018.
The measure would have dedicated revenue from the existing sales tax on motor vehicle parts to road and bridge funding.[1]

Path to the ballot

In Minnesota, a simple majority vote in both chambers of the Minnesota State Legislature during one legislative session is required to refer a constitutional amendment to the ballot.
On April 18, 2018, the constitutional amendment was introduced into the state legislature as House File 4437 (HF 4437).[3]
On May 17, 2018, the Minnesota House of Representatives voted to approve HF 4437.[3]
The Minnesota Senate did not vote on the amendment before the legislature adjourned on May 21, 2018.
