The Minnesota District Judges on the Supreme Bench Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 7, 1876 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure authorized district judges to sit on the supreme bench when Supreme Court justices are disqualified from sitting for any case.[1]
