We need to prioritize policies that support caring for people. We must invest our children by fully funding our public schools, early childhood education and child care. We need to fully fund special education and close the federal math gap to reduce costs to our local districts and ensure all children who need specialized instruction and additional support can access it. We need to invest in and fund early childhood education and child care. Our early childhood educators must be paid a wage that reflects their value.

Minnesota is a healthcare leader. We must improve access to affordable and quality health care, including reproductive care.

We must support our unions and give voice to Minnesota’s workers. With strong and diverse workforce Minnesota can continue to be a leader in a variety of fields including green energy, technology, and healthcare.

My extensive experience in the human service field, particularly disability services allows me to bring passion around these issues. My family, along with many other Minnesotans, are directly affected by the disability workforce shortage, inadequate funding, and special education shortages. I bring to the legislature a unique blend of personal and professional experience that will allow me to be a strong advocate for our most vulnerable in our community.
