We have a police force in Maple Grove that is the envy of many communities. However, as I have door knocked all summer, I have heard a recurring concern at the door that our prosecutors and judges are not holding accountable those who commit violent crimes. As your Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA) endorsed candidate, I will back our police and first responders with every vote I take. Not only are we looking to keep Maple Grove safe, but we all want to be able to go downtown to enjoy all it has to offer and feel safe there as well. Our current Administration’s policies on crime have led to unprecedented violence and lawlessness that must be stopped.

People at the doors are really concerned that test scores are going in the wrong direction. Our kids got behind during Covid and now their attention is more focused on what divides us rather than what unites us… rather than focusing on Reading, Math and Science. Parents are telling me that they want to have a say in their child’s curriculum. Many parents are acting on that, as less than 70% of the eligible students in our district are currently enrolled. Some are open-enrolled elsewhere, and many are in private school or homeschooled. We must focus on getting students to excel in the basic subject areas, so they can have success at a job, in the military, in trade school or college.

Minnesota will have the #1 tax rate in the nation for corporate taxpayers in 2024. We don’t have to have the lowest rate, but we can’t have the highest one and expect to attract new businesses. We must address that, just as 27 other states have done to reduce their tax burdens and rates over the last two years. I will support policies that get inflation under control by reducing excess government spending. Accelerating inflation has led to interest rate hikes that make access to affordable capital increasingly scarce. As your Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and MN NFIB endorsed candidate, I will do all I can to help our businesses grow without needless regulation so they can hire and flourish.
I'm very passionate about seeing our communities thrive. I'm focused on policies that will support our Law Enforcement and First Responders as they work to reduce violent crime and repeat offenses to keep us safe.

I'm very pro-teacher and pro-student, and want to see policies and curriculum that help our students excel in their academic basics and be prepared for life after public school. I want us to focus on experiences that help unite our students and communities as Minnesotans and Americans, and not dwell on curriculum that creates division.

I want to protect our businesses so they can grow and prosper. Many of our businesses are still recovering after dealing with "one size fits all" mandates. I will support policies that prevent that from happening again and will work to get the economy back under control so that we see an improvement in our labor participation rate.

We must assist our seniors by removing the taxes from their Social Security benefits, as so many other States have done. We must implement policies that makes it attractive for our Seniors to remain here in Minnesota as opposed to migrating to other places for economic reasons. As the Care Providers of Minnesota endorsed candidate, I also want to see us implement policies that improve the ability for facilities to deliver care to our seniors.

I understand the sacrifices that so many of my fellow Veterans have made for our Country, and will back policies that support our Veterans.
