As a mom and economist, Lauren knows that investing in our schools is a force multiplier for our economy. In the State House, Lauren will strengthen and expand access to early childhood education, fight to attract and retain high-quality teachers, expand access to mental health resources, and ensure every child has a quality education.

As an inflation expert, Lauren knows we need to curb inflation and fight the impacts of high prices on our families to stimulate growth. She is proud to have served our country to find solutions to the 2008 financial crisis and has advised businesses nationally on changing economic dynamics. In the State House, Lauren will use those same skills to protect our tax dollars and ensure our families get a return on their investment for our children.

Working at Cargill, Lauren knows safe communities are essential to bringing high-quality, good-paying jobs to our state. As our State Representative, Lauren will work with our first responders to ensure our families and our kids are safe and invest in crime prevention and educational programs that will curb crime before it starts.
Lauren grew up in this community. She was a 4-H kid from Waconia and attended Minnesota Public Schools. She earned her PhD in Applied Economics before specializing in inflation dynamics for the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and advised businesses nationally on the economic environment. When she and her husband started their family, they knew they wanted their kids to have the same opportunities she did and chose to raise them in her home state. Now, she is running for State House to make sure every child has a quality education, safe schools and communities, and a robust economy for their future.
