The Minnesota Inheritance Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 6, 1894 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure authorized a tax on all inheritances, bequests and gifts above a specific amount, not to exceed five percent.[1]
