The Minnesota Limit Size of State Senate Amendment, also known as Amendment 6, was on the November 5, 1912 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have limited the size of the senate to 63 members, and also provided that not more than seven senators could ever be apportioned to any one county.[1]

Although the measure gathered more "yes" votes than "no" votes, Minnesota requires that the majority of all voters vote "yes" in order to pass an amendment. In 1912, there were 349,678 total voters, requiring a vote of at least 174,840 to pass a measure.
