The Minnesota Majority for Ratifying the Constitution Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 2, 1954 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided for a 60 percent popular vote before a new state constitution could be ratified. The measure also removed the constitutional bar precluding members of the legislature from serving in a constitutional convention.[1]
