The Minnesota Popular Approval of Railroad Tax Law Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 7, 1871 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure required any changes to railroad gross earnings tax laws to be submitted to the public for popular approval.[1]
