Minnesota Sale of Internal Improvement Lands, Amendment 3 (1868)
The Minnesota Sale of Internal Improvement Lands Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 3, 1868 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have authorized the sale of 500,000 acres of internal improvement lands and the investment of proceeds from the sale in state or national securities.[1]
