The Minnesota Use of Lottery for Environmental Trust Fund Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 6, 1990 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure dedicated 40 percent of the state lottery proceeds to the environment and natural resources fund until the year 2001.[1]
Aftermath
The amendment, which was originally set to expire in 2001, was extended to 2025 in a 1998 amendment.
