The Mississippi Court Defendant Rights, Amendment 6, also known as Amendment 6, was on the ballot in Mississippi on November 7, 1978, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Section 27. The amendment proposed to that a defendant represented by counsel may waive indictment.[1]
