Mississippi Tax Assessment, Amendment 1 (1986)

The Mississippi Tax Assessment, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Mississippi on June 3, 1986, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended via House Concurrent Resolution No. 41. The amendment proposed to amend: Section 112, which would establish assessment ratios for revised property classes and that the assessment ratio of one class of property would not exceed three times the assessment ratio of other classes of property. The legislature may limit or deny county taxation on nuclear power facilities.[1]
