The Mississippi Tax Assessment, Amendment 3, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Mississippi on November 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended via Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 519. The amendment proposed that Section 112 be amended to provide for the classification of property for ad valorem tax purposes and for the legislature to establish assessment ratios for four classifications of property.[1]
