The Mississippi Transport Corporation Bonds, Amendment 7, also known as Amendment 7, was on the ballot in Mississippi on November 3, 1987, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended via Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 548. The amendment proposed to amend: Section 196, which would prohibit transportation corporations from issuing stocks or bonds without receiving money, property or labor in return. The amendment would also prohibit the fictitious increase of stock or indebtedness.[1]
