The Missouri Citizen-Initiated Constitutional Amendment Process and Requirement Changes Amendment was not on the ballot in Missouri as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 8, 2022.[1]

The measure would have amended section 49, section 50, and section 52(b) of Article III of the state constitution and would add a new section 50(b). The full text of the amendment is available here.

To put a legislatively referred constitutional amendment before voters, a simple majority is required in both the Missouri State Senate and the Missouri House of Representatives.
On March 10, 2022, the state House approved the amendment by a vote of 96-34, with 27 absent. There were six vacancies at the time of the vote. Ninety-five Republicans and one Democrat voted in favor of the amendment. Thirty-three Democrats and one Republican voted against it.[1] This measure did not receive a vote in the state Senate before the legislative session adjourned.
