Missouri Court of Appeals judge reaches mandatory retirement age

Missouri: Judge Robert S. Barney of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District is set to retire after 25 years on the trial and appellate bench. This year Barney reached Missouri's Mandatory retirement age of 70.[1]

After earning his J.D. Barney was appointed to the 35th Judicial Circuit by Governor John Ashcroft in 1987. After Eight and a half years serving on the 35th Circuit Barney was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals by Governor Mel Carnahan.
Barney will retire on September 1, 2012.[1]
