Healthcare is one of the most important issues that we all experience. We’ve all faced times in our families where we’ve needed specialized or extensive medical help, and the availability, accessibility, and affordability should not prevent you from getting that care. My daughter has chronic medical conditions that require multiple medicines and regular follow-up appointments. Our family carries multiple Epi-pens, which are both expensive and expire regularly, yet are critical for her in the event of a reaction. Families should not have to choose between medicine, the diagnostic tests and appointments needed to monitor their health, or other necessities. Nor should someone other than her doctor be making decisions for her about her care.

At my core, I am an Educator. I grew up in a family surrounded by educators, and I was a public school middle and high school teacher. Ensuring that all students get the best education, no matter their zip code, is crucial. Teacher pay must increase so we can recruit the best and brightest, professional teachers should be trusted to use state and district standards and curriculum without constant and overzealous oversight, and ultimately we should all align to ensure that our students learn and critically think about the topics that will make them successful adults.

Ensuring Voting Rights for all Missourians is the answer to creating a truly representative democracy in our state. I believe that if all voters were informed about the issues, actively participated in the dialogues, and voting was accessible to all, then we would create a government that accurately reflected our concerns. Anyone trying to suppress or limit voting is simply afraid of what would happen if we all came out and voted. Voting is a right, as well as a responsibility, and we should act accordingly.
Reform education to provide more accountability and better parental oversight and rights in choosing their children’s education

Free-market reforms, including reducing local tax burdens, and eliminating regulatory barriers on new and small businesses.

Fully funding law enforcement, including state government to improve prosecution in local jurisdictions, where prosecutors have ignored their duties.
Healthcare is a human right, and I will work to ensure that all Missourians have affordable, accessible treatment, including access to reproductive healthcare.

Every child in Missouri deserves a high quality education. I believe that if we invested in our schools and paid our teachers well, our students would benefit, our teachers would stay, and Missouri would be a state people would want to call home.

I am committed to standing up for our right to make our voices heard at the ballot box. I want everyone to exercise their right to vote and we should be doing everything we can to make it easier. Everyone should have the same rights and freedoms as everyone else. We should be doing more to level the playing field where the system favors one group over another. We should be looking for ways for everyone to succeed, not coming up with new ways to be discriminatory and harmful. It should not matter your sex, gender, race, religion, etc. Everyone is equal because we are all human.

Safety is the most basic human need. We all need to feel safe, whether that means access to food and shelter, keeping our bodies safe from harm, or knowing that our environment is safe. Common sense gun reform is a place to start, and we shouldn’t have to stand by and allow more and more people to die. We need to find common ground to recognize the 2nd amendment and the interests of sportsmen, while also recognizing that we are not actually forming a militia, and no one needs to own weapons designed for warfare. The safety of our kids and communities is paramount.
Tax reform, Education, Pro-Life issues, Public Safety.
